Paediatric First Aid – £95 per person
This comprehensive course covers all topics required by Ofsted for teachers, nursery workers and child minders. Paediatric first aid is vital to anyone working with children; giving effective emergency care could be essential to reducing the effects of illness or injury and could even play a huge part in saving a child’s life.
During this course you will gain the skills and knowledge required to deal with an emergency situation until help arrives.

- Communication and casualty care
- Primary/Secondary Survey
- Allergic reaction
- Asthma and diabetic emergencies
- Wounds, Bleeding & Shock
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries
- Childhood conditions (e.g. sickle cell, meningitis)
- Eye injuries
- Foreign objects
- Unconscious casualty Management
- Head injuries
- Extremes of body temperature
- Poisoning, bites and stings
- Spinal injuries
- Sprains & Strains
This course has a minimum of 12 hours direct learning time and is assessed by both practical scenarios and a multiple choice paper.
You will need to bring:
- Pens & note pad
- Clothing appropriate for practical scenarios
Booking and cost
Paediatric First Aid is a 2 day course and costs £95 per person.
Most courses are arranged for dates and times to suit you, though occasionally we will schedule a number of popular courses that can be booked on request. The location of a course can be either your place of work (dependant on numbers) or one of a number of local, easily accessible, facilities that we will arrange.
